Yesterday I went to school with one sleeve of my shirt all blood-spattered, courtesy of my Hep B injection. Daddy took me down on Thursday morning, and since the nurses didn't arrive for ages I ended up missing regestration and having to sign the Late Book for the first time in a six year career :) The nurse who did it was Irish, I think, and either dyslexic or very confused (I'm inclined to the latter viewpoint; she didn't seem to know what she was doing at all, which was worrying-I was very relieved to hear that the syringes come prefilled.) I rolled up my left sleeve but she told me to switch arms. I did so, thinking that perhaps there was some reason it has to be your writing hand...she stuck the needle in, informed me that I might have a dead arm (I did, which made Chemistry a lot of fun) and then proceeded to console me that at least it wasn't my writing hand! Yeah, right.
Anyway, it didn't seem to be bleeding at the time, but when I came home I noticed a lot of spots on the sleeve-I suppose having to use it so much made it bleed. I meant to get a clean shirt but forgot all about it, so it's just as well that yesterday was pretty cool and I didn't take off my jumper. It's still throbbing a bit, worse than the last one did...if it can just keep going for three or four more days, I might even get out of Games over it.
We started doing some work in Physics and Maths, but it seems pretty much exactly what we did last year...some of the topics I think I have covered at least five times, thanks to Triple Science, Add Maths and Maths and Physics AS level. Mr. Stewart told me that I came first in terms of raw marks, which was interesting-I'm not averse to getting a bit more money out of the school!
Katy had invited me and Faith out to her house (we've been meaning to go since Fourth year!) so Mummy took me into Banbridge and Katy's mum picked me up outside Tesco's. We had a great time, talking about daft things that happened when we were all in class together, looking at Kate's photos and watching part of Anne of Green Gables. Faith even allowed us to take some group photos, which was pretty miraculous considering that I haven't got a single other one of her! Katy and I got quite giggly by the end, which usually happens-apparently we make her hyper =) Her dad took me back out to Banbridge, and Mummy eventually came down to the caravan place to get me: she'd been visiting her second cousins the whole time and didn't realise we were already there. I didn't get into bed until well after midnight, but at least it's the weekend.
Daddy and I were washing all our stones from the beach out on the concrete. There are loads, and some of them are absolutely huge while others are smaller than a fingernail. When we get a house of our own again I'm going to redo my beach window with my pieces of driftwood and my boat things.
I went through all my clothes, sorting them out and seeing what all I have: there are almost fifty garments not counting scarves, hats and things like that. I hadn't realised I had quite so many skirts and tops that I rarely wear...oops =)
