Odd...

Today something extraordinary happened: I went clothes shopping and actually enjoyed it.  Most bizarre.  Mummy, Ruth and I were away from about half ten until half five in the evening (getting home in the rush hour was rather fun) but we did get loads of stuff.  Handily enough, there was a sale on at M&S-when else would you ever get two pairs of trousers and a skirt for £22?  After three trips to the chaning rooms (the attendant was starting to know us very well) I also got a wee shirt and Mummy got a skirt.  I tried on a gorgeous dress, sleeveless with a full skirt and all patterned over with roses.  It looked lovely, but it cost £45 and I didn't think I would have enough chances to wear it to justify the price.  I was tempted though, so perhaps it's a good thing I didn't see it before Ruth's graduation =)  We also made half a dozen forays into the lingerie department, but ended up paying for it all in the menswear section after we collected a few things for my brother...I'm pretty sure the business men in the queue behind us weren't best pleased at seeing a basketfull of ladies' things going through the till ;)
Thankfully M&S sells sandwiches or we would have been completely flattened, but as it was we took a break and sat out in the car...I love their BLTs.  Mummy and I traipsed round Sainsbury's while Ruth read magazines, and after carrying all those baskets and pushing that trolley round the supermarket, I'm wrecked.  I mean, yesterday I walked almost two miles and cycled over two more at high speed, but I'm more tired now than I was last night, which is not good considering that the church outreach week begins tomorrow, and involves walking round the entire town.  *sigh*  My legs will never be the same again...

Yesterday David had his hepatitis B and his tetanus & diptheria vaccines.  His arms are both quite sore, but it should wear off soon: I had my hep B last Friday and I didn't feel anything after Monday, despite the terrible warnings given to me by all my globe-trotting friends.

After the amazing "two and a half pages in one sitting" afternoon, the currently posting story has hit another hitch.  One of my Elves has turned into Ron Weasley.  Seriously.  It's not that I have a problem with Ron in stories *loffs Ron* but I requested one black haired, grey eyed, Elven archer with a sense of humour, not...Ron.  Possibly I should quit reading HP until I get rid of the Ron invasion, but that would be a bit boring.  Hmm.  I won't have much time this week, anyway, so maybe if I leave Ron! Elf to stew for a few days he'll work it out of his system.

I had my first lesson with an official driving instructor yesterday, which was...interesting.  He said that I was good at steering and gear changes and a few other things, but I needed to use the brake more frequently and stop looking at the gear stick :)  Problem is, I'm already practically stationary when he tells me to brake, and his gear stick is in a different place to ours-it's a little car, which I'm not used to, either.  Had to push the seat way back after I got in, which probably didn't please him much, either ;)
I'm going for another one next week, far too early on Friday morning, but hopefully I'll be able to understand more what he's talking about.  Which reminds me, I must get a decent copy of the Highway Code...

Our internet for the month is almost out, and I haven't been on for days-Ruth has always been impossible to remove from the computer, and David is showing a disturbing tendency to follow in her footsteps.
