Ugh, I hate cars. And driving. And long journeys. We went to visit our uncle and family in Belfast, and coming back at half five there were tailbacks for miles coming onto the M1, so we had to sit in stinking traffic for about half an hour and I got sick...it's always me, for some reason. Consequently, I lay down for a while and am now sitting in my nightshirt with a jumper pulled over it...here's hoping we don't have any evening visitors!
The visit lasted about five hours or more, so it was a little long-drawn-out, but some of the things Connor came out with were hilarious: talk about conspiracy theories =) He and Daddy got on very well, talking about politics and all the rest of it.
For a while I was having severe doubts about my writing ability, or lack thereof, since I only produced utter tripe today, but decided that the circumstances (heading along the motorway and sitting in queues) possibly weren't the most conducive to producing amazing literature.
LotR references seem to be jumping out at me from everywhere these days...in a Sayers novel I was reading, they mentioned a pub named The Nine Rings, which is obvious ;) Today we passed a shop/restaurant called Bloom's, and I immediately connected it with LotR, although it took a moment for me to make the connection. *grin*
Mummy also said a couple of things that I automatically translated to quotations from the film.
