My meme wasn't entirely sensical, so I did a similar thing by taking the first lines from a giant book of madrigals ("The A Cappella Singer").
I.
Matona, lovely maiden, oh listen to the song,
Lady, your love my eye enforced
One smiling summer morning- ah, me!
Rest, sweet nymphs, let golden sleep charm your starbright eyes.

II.
Adieu, Amaryllis!
O eyes of my beloved,
Flora gave me fairest flowers-
Tell me if thou lov'st, Colletta!

The first one is the usual "I'm making you music to make you love me" wankery, but I suspect there's some sort of tryst going on in the second.

I'm supposed to listen to 20 songs and make their first lines into a song/poem. Okay. Note that it will probably take me more like 30 tracks to do this, because my library is full of things that are not songs or are instrumental.

Look what you're doin'! I'm feelin' bluin':*
Go, lovely rose- tell her that wastes the time and me.
Ladies and Gentlemen, may I have your attention please?
I tried my best, I gave my all,
There are people and they are publishing my book...

I follow the footprints in the snow;
Solitudini amiche, aure amorose- (Friendly solitudes, amorous breezes)**
Grand pianos clash together.
I was walking down the street
Lookin' here at ticking clocks running rampant in me.

Could'a heard a pin drop when they walked through the door.
Nobody likes you, everyone left you.
You take a mortal man,
For whom the gun tolls, for whom the prey weeps;
I hope you're ready.

Johnny wants to be a big star;
Here come old flattop.
I can't get enough of you, baby.
(She take you down easy.)
Come on baby, let's do the twist.

I have no idea what's going on there. See what happens when you take a collection like mine and try to compare things?
