Pretty basic poem written a couple of months ago (I think) for English. It's been tweaked a bit, and I'm not exactly sure how grammar goes in a poem because I'm more of a story person. But here we go.

Isn't It Romantic?
by elephantstomp
We sat at lunch together when we were seven
Four years later we reached eleven
Innocently watching passers go by
And now when together I get butterflies
I remember standing in the rain
Then - like a miracle - along you came
With your stripy umbrella you offered to share
And then I realised that you did care
In the classroom, our eyes meet
Playing footsies with our feet
Occasionally, sometimes, our hands brush
And I feel my cheeks warm with an unwanted blush
I feel as wobbly as jiggling jelly
As we sit here, to watch the telly
Cuddling together on the chair
Whilst your hand absentmindedly strokes my hair
The first time we kissed it was a mess
But neither of us could care less
Our noses bumped, and you kissed my cheek
And you, so sweet, made my knees go weak
You broke my heart when we broke up
One by one, tissues piled up
Bitter coffee burnt my tongue
And here I thought you were the one
