James visiting
So the promised update on James's visit! The fast version is it was awesome!
People who you were close with when you were teenagers can change a lot and I was worried whether we would still get along so well now or not. But it was like no time had gone past at all. It like old times except with us being more mature of course and having more life experience. We talked about everything, from catching up on our families and friends to politics and how the world is today, and one of the things that was so cool was how we can get into great debates even when we don't agree on everything. I think we agree on 80% and on the rest it's like we can learn from each other's opinions instead of fighting.
We also talked about some deep personal stuff about relationships, he went through some tough things with his last girlfriend that he had hinted about on email but not told me all the details.
It is GREAT to be back in touch with a friend so closely, now it is only a pity we live so far away!
