Yesterday, Penny and I did our first single day century together, going up to Bear Mountain and back. I now remember the other reason Nyack is used as a turn around: the hills after it are steeper. My full write up of the ride can be found on my transcontinental blog:
milezer0 My legs feel fine if a bit tight today, though my knees kinda wonder what they did to make me hate them so. I did the ride with only about 40lbs of gear; I expect to be closer to 60 lbs when it comes to the real thing. But I made it through just fine and might even be willing to ride my bike some more today. From the last week, I now have a clear biking glove tan line on my hands, which let me tell you is sex-x-y. I also think any belly fat I may have lost over the last couple weeks has been replaced by leg mass. Soon, I will be powerful enough to kill using only my thighs! Mwa ha ha ha!
Ok, well i guess I'm going to do some dishes so i can make breakfast and get the dishes dirty again. Ciao
