Summer holiday - day 9

It's all very bitty at the moment; two stiches here, two stiches there. Once I've filled in the bumps, there should be larger areas of one colour to do. I discovered today that I had sewn two stiches one block over from where they should be, but as the two stitched were in the middle of the thread, I couldn't just take them out. I'm going to sew over them with the correct colour, which shouldn't look too bad. I had to have a mistake somewhere.

The chart is annoying at points. Some of the symbols they've used are little arrows, four of them pointing in four different directions to indicate four different colours. Do they use these arrows far away from each other? No, they are all mixed in together, making it quite hard to see which colour you are supposed to be sewing. That is the main reason why the left hand side hasn't progressed as far as the right hand side; I'm building up my courage.

In other news today, the archbishops have told the churches that we have to change how we recieve communion because of swine flu. We are now dipping our wafers in the wine instead of drinking straight from the chalice. I can understand why we are doing it, but doesn't this just scream mass hysteria? Also, considering we had a sermon on the healing power of prayer today, sorry archbishops, but where is your faith that God will protect us from passing germs via communion wine?
