Summer Holiday - Week 5

So far,

Monday - Letting my feet recover from walking up and down Steep Hill at Lincoln.

Tuesday - Looking for a new car and finding one. Not a Fiesta as I had planned, but a Peugeot 308, going for less than I had expected to pay. Money still left in the building society!! We went to a place in the village that had been reccomended to us, so it was ( Read more... )

Ah! Those are excellent boots.

I did get as far as trying to find a Jenny waistcoat online, but didn't make much progress.

You might be better off finding material and then making one.

Although, In Lincoln I found Steampunk central with a shop that sold loads of lovely stuff. They might have had a waistcoat.

No name suggestion as I don't think I've ever named my own cars.

I'd like to have my current car survive until I retire but I'm thinking that ain't ganna happen. Still got around eight years and my current car already have 88,000 miles. But my mechanic said he's seen those Saturns last for 200,000 miles if maintained.

Cool boots! They should be a great way to finish off the costume. They look like they have the potential to be re-used as well, for other costumes. Firefly maybe, or Victorian Torchwood.

The boots are very comfy, so might get put into general use later.
