Soundwise; the projector does have a built in speaker. We are probably going to borrow a PA system for the karakoke, but I don't know what that is beyond the fact it's a microphone and a speaker.
There is a USB, S-video, audio (it's got green jacks either end), VGA (big blue multi pin connectors each end), and I think it's the RCA to audio cable from looking at the picture in the manual (the handwritten labels on the cable say 'left and right DVD' and 'audio in on data projector').

Green jacks - 3.5mm headphone style jacks ?

Green jacks, the type you stick in the headphone socket of the laptop. 3.5mm looks right.
