Squee + heeeelp those living in/familiar with the Chicago area
So, my debit card came in the mail today! SOME SMALL MARGIN OF FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE, FUCK YEAH! This means very many exciting things. Among these exciting things, lies the fact that I can buy my ticket for Kevin Devine + empires. My dilemma? My father is not supportive of this venture and probably won't agree to drive me, especially when he finds out it's like an hour out of Chicago. So, my question is, will public transportation take me from Chicago to DeKalb? I'm probably going to buy the ticket no matter what--I'm a determined kind of girl when I want something, especially when it's a music-related something, but still, will I be able to get there via public transport?
