Thanks for the thoughts last night.
Today was an interesting day. I never thought I'd have a Christmas like this and still call it good, but that's what happened. I got to spend the day with a fabulous crew (love my girls!), deal with (mostly) pleasant passengers, and see my city covered with snow (even if it was just from the air).
It was such a long day (14 hours from start to finish) that I figured by the time I got to the hotel, there wouldn't be any more food available and I'd just have to warm up some soup. Not so! The front desk immediately handed us menus with free-for-crew options. (Hotels treat holiday layover crews really well.) As we'd ridden over from the airport with a Southwest crew, we were already fast friends (we are being acquired by Southwest) and agreed to come right back down and meet for dinner.
It was a blast. They were all awesome and easy-going and friendly right off the bat. As the pilots left the table, I joked that it was just like a real Christmas, with extended family and everything.
It was a much better holiday than I could have ever anticipated. And now I go to bed, since I have to be up at 5:30.
MERRY CHRISTMAS! IT'S MY FAVORITE DAY EVER! STILL! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
