(no subject)
I have a kitten!! She was dumped near a friend's house about a month ago, and she and her litter-mates followed my friend home from a walk one night. She's all black and looks to be about 10-11 weeks, judging by height, but she's rail thin and quite tiny, so she needs lots of food. Also, a name. She belongs to myself and my roommate, so now we need to pick a name for her, so that I don't convince her that her name is Sweetie or Kitty.
I'm really glad I brought her to my parent's house first; we have the world's most laid-back dog when it comes to other animals, and the dog at the apartment is quite the opposite. The cat didn't like the idea of a dog earlier, so we'll have to get her used to ours over the next couple weeks. On the way home, she started out in my lap, but didn't like that she couldn't see out, so she climbed in between my shoulders and the back of the seat and rode home that way. Now she's fast asleep, clinging to my arm, and twitching like crazy. She's incredibly clingy and probably will be until she realizes that I'm not going to dump her on the side of the road in two days.
In other exciting news, one of my best friends ever is visiting from England! We hadn't seen each other for five years before they arrived here in Atlanta.
Yay friends and yay kittens! I go back to work tomorrow but I don't want to leave my kitty. :(
