Wanna laugh?

My family is like the Bundy family from Married with Children, only we don’t have a horny brother in the house, lol!!

Last night there was an earthquake while I was chatting with Keighley on the MSN. It’s something that happens quite often here but last night’s was a big one!

So, picture this:

An hour after midnight and my sister talks on the phone with her American ‘friend’, Paul. I’m on the MSN talking to Keighley and reading an amazing vampire story; my parents were fast asleep. And suddenly, the earth starts moving!

Now, is a good time to tell you all that my sister and mother are scared shitless of earthquakes.

Ok, so, the earth starts moving and my sister starts yelling to Paul, in fluent Greek mind you, “Seismos!!!”

She gets up and starts running to the exit while still yelling to poor Paul, which later on I’ve learned he was about to jump on the first flight to Greece!

My mother was screaming to my father to, ”Wake up and get the kids, I have to RUN!” Keep in mind that said kids are 26 and 28 years old! She run to the exit and met with my sister that she frantically tried to unlock the door with her cell-phones antenna!!!! At least, she had turned to the English mode and Paul could understand what she was saying, lol!

My mother was still yelling to my father and trying to wake him up. His respond were, ”Get back in the bed honey, it’s just a small earthquake,” and turned to the other side of the bed!

I, on the other hand, was trapped in my bedroom. I couldn’t get the door open ‘cause the earthquake was preventing the lock to turn and the DVDs from my bookcase were landing on my head! I really didn’t know that season four of QAF was that heavy, lol!
I couldn’t stop laughing; hearing my sister talking to Paul and my mother trying to wake my father up and out of bed! Of course, no one bothered to come and check on me; they could hear my laugher!

Anyway, the earthquake lasted 25 seconds and it was a 4.9R. We, and all the neighbors, spent the night on the park across my house. It was a cold night last night and with a freaked out mother I couldn’t get back into the house. Thank God my Godmother kept her occupied and I run back upstairs and printed out two chapters of the vamp story that I was reading.

It was a little after 6 a.m when we finally got into the house. Needless to say that my father was still sleeping on his very big and VERY warm bed!!!

earthquake, cold
