I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack
I'm going to graduate this year, having lived all four years on the third floor of a dorm. Different dorms, granted, but I don't seem to be able to get away from this 3rd floor thing.
That being said: I have a single, it's beautiful, and I am very happy with it.
The plan is to make a mini-photo-intro for all of you, but lj is being persnickity about uploading my pictures. so we'll see.
I'm feeling rather productive/social - got to hang out with family until they left last night, and then Steph and Melinda came over to visit, and then Tremaine stopped by! (He's black, gay, and was part of our class freshman year but had to go home for medical reasons. He's one of those great people who is happy as a general state of being.) Sirkka stopped by as well, and I found out that my room isn't crowded with 5. Which made me happy, as well :)
So I've papered my walls with postcards, added a polka-dotted carpet to my wood floors, gotten my mail key and my first pile of mail, including a couple of my textbooks, stole Mockingjay from Steph and stayed up until 2 or so reading that... got my CPR recert this morning, some guarding review this afternoon (playing a dead person is SO MUCH FUN), tried to arrange for a thesis carrol, started doing research for said thesis... productivity. Win.
