For today and tomorrow. Cleaned out all but the essentials of my dorm room this morning; been putting it away for several hours. I (officially) have too much stuff. And my books don't fit on my bookcases (again). But I went through and pulled out a good 2 shelves worth that I haven't read in a long long time; that I thought I would be interested in reading but actually am not; that are too trashy to keep on my shelves.
Yesterday was good times. Went up with Naomi and Ashley and Sirkka. Twas exciting - 2 live jazz bands and a 'black and white' theme. We convinced Naomi to not wear bright green, but put on some sort of black with her muted-green skirt - and she was glad, when she didn't stick out like a sore thumb. (And then one of the UD girls came in wearing pink, orange, turquoise, and bright green -- having forgotten the dress code. And she kind of stuck out like a sore thumb.)
Oh, but it was classy :) In an old gym with a wooden floor - no AC, sadly, and it really overheated, but we could go outside (and did) when it got too bad - and it was great to spin on. Lots of fast songs. So Many Good leads! Twas fun, and welcoming, and yes. Happiness.
(Ashley was chatting up a cute photographer guy. But he didn't come to the blues party with us :( Also, Sirkka claims that he was gay - which seems to be Ashley's luck... poor kid.)
Blues party was good - I'm getting better at leading blues (usually just with the people I bring, because I trust them to follow well but let me know if I'm being improbable). First & last dance with Alex.
