I fear that this post will be in the same disjointed vein as the last. Because I am tired/have had enough sugar to be seriously twitchy.
Slept in today, a bit. Sue did send the bus (though she's ready to smack me because I keep either thanking her for doing so or pestering her to remember... there was Drama last year) and so we got there in plenty of time. There were no eclairs for breakfast, so I wasn't tempted until after my races (by chocolate).
The swims in the morning went pretty well. My secret psych-ee didn't make the cut for 200 breast, but pretty much everyone who was supposed to, did. My 1650 was an 18:37, and 2nd in my heat. (Which was the 2nd fastest - I ended up 10th.) I warmed down during a heat of the boy's 1650, and then threw on some obnoxiously colored clothes to cheer for Sasa (to be easier to see). Sasa went an 18:56, which was super-exciting because she had never broken 19 minutes before.
Travis time-trialed the 100 free and ended up with an American record -- he's our one-legged swimmer, and he's one of the nicest guys on the team, and he was so excited when he made it (as was our coaching staff - jumping up and down and yelling, etc)
Came back to the hotel room kinda comatose - not even hungry, just exhausted. Mindless tv (curling, biathalon, etc) and FB later, started to feel slightly more human. Been flip-flopping between exhausted and hyper ever since.
Went down for the last session, during which they recognized our seniors... I am going to miss them. Like woah. Anne's one of the only ones who keeps me in a good mood during distance sets; Little Casey is a spitfire, and Claire-bear is just plain awesome. And then finals: our girls went 1,2,3,5 in the 200 fly, our boys took 2,4,5 in the 1650.
I swam the last relay - 400 free relay, so each leg was a 100 free. Decent split - 57.1. Don't think I've swum a 57 yet this season. We came in 7th.
Overall, girls came in 5th/9, boys came in 2nd of 8 (Bryn Mawr doesn't have a boy's team... wonder why?)
Seniors gave speeches on the bus ride back, and there were cookies. And I had a stash of swedish fish. Hence the sugar-high/shakes. I was bad and didn't warm down, but I really don't feel that bad (yet). There's an after-conferences party that I'm expected to be at tonight... not for too long, though. *tired*
