My Daddy came through the blizzard to get me this morning.
He didn't gripe at me, despite me being crazy and having not started to pack before he got there. We drove to Beardsley and grabbed my paintings. He told me I was prettier than I painted myself in my self-portrait. (which I appreciated :) We got Starbucks and drove home, and he didn't even flail at the other drivers much. (The snow disappeared as we got closer to home... it's now caught up with us)
Mom & Cori were making cookies by the time we got home. Snickerdoodles. Mmm. Mom didn't give me grief about the 4 loads of wash I brought home, or the random jungle I brought home. Gram & PopPop came over around noon. Cori got into a habit of throwing rolled balls of cookies at Gram's cookie sheet; Gram would organize them. I started playing around with the milk frother thing that Cori got for last Christmas and discovered that I can make a chai tea latte really really easily. Look out, world.
Snickerdoodles, coconut jumbles, tollhouse, oatmeal raisin, spritz. Just shy of 1000 cookies. (How sad. We're usually a couple hundred over.)
I'm sitting in the dining room trying to write my last paper. (Edits, really. It is written.) I'm going to finish it tonight and figure out what, if anything, I can do for my 35 project. And then be done.
