Things that were mildly unexpected...

Dave made dinner for the family Wed night. Quite good. My Mommy approves.

We were actually close in our Quakertown meet. Lost, but only by about 30 points. (Generally a major loss in summer league is 100 points or more, so this isn't bad. They're one of the best teams in the league.) ALSO: ALL 3 OF MY LITTLE 8 & UNDER BOYS HAD LEGAL BUTTERFLY!!! WOOT. Now, if only I could teach them breaststroke.

Regina (our head coach) brings her brother in to do dryland on the days we're not allowed in the pool. I participated this morning, and am sore and/or exhausted. Running on dark chocolate all day. Also, seemed to not die with all the running, which was cool. Still, my group played hide-and-seek and follow-the-leader.

That being said... we aren't allowed in the pool after a home meet.  Ostensibly because we would cause extra traffic in the water, dirty it horridly, and cost the township upteen dollars in chemicals.  Which we can deal with, so established dryland.  Points to ponder,  though:  I have been a part of this team for over ten years.  This is the first time that they have ever put something like this into place.  Also:  the Park program - which, btw, has more children than we do - hopped in the water while kicking us out of the pool area during our practice time this morning.  *livid*  I am going to write the township a Nice Polite Letter Expressing My Indignation For My Children.

I got to help edit a letter hounding my cousins for money this morning.  It was an exciting adventure into formal mildly-threatening 'you scumbag, return the trust's assets!' letters.

Pilates, like step dancing, seems to be something I understand the second time around. Actually felt some of it today. Yay!

My mother dressed us (being herself, my Dad, Robert, and I) up as cows today and took us to Chick-fil-a to get free food. My Dad made ridiculously embarrassed noises. It was hysterical.

I am about 6,000 words behind in Julno. I am writing complete crap, trying to rewrite what got poof-ed when my harddrive died in Nov. Except I'm doing different things, and having trouble remembering what I wanted to happen, what I had happening, and what is actually already typed, and responding accordingly. Meh. Little brother stole my setting, characters, and plot. Seems to be more successful than I am.

There is serious sleep deprivation here. Going to try to fix this, tonight. Conquering sleep in a single bound. Sounds good to me.
