Life got much better, once I finished my Goethe.  (Which actually made me really happy, as I finally realized that the book I had bought had the first 4 parts of the Lehrjahre in it, rather than the 3 I had thought it had... so my reading got cut by 60 pages :)  Still.  Reading auf Deutsch takes a ridiculously long time :(

Practice... urfgunflug.  I wanted to stick through the distance set, as I am a distance oriented swimmer, blah blah blah.  Our new assistant coach is a little too close.  I don't want her breathing down my neck.  Somehow I'm comfortable enough with Sue that I can tell her that I'm ill and want to leave, but not Corrie.  So I swam through the IM and the fly, and was ready to kill said assistant coach for shortening my name.  We have an Allie.  She is not me.  Rarglesplat.

On the other hand, I am less ill.  And I'm going swing dancing tonight in Philly!  (Instead of watching the debate... which probably makes me a bad American, but I can't work myself up enough to care)  Roommate is asleep, I am strangely energized.  Go figure.

EDIT:  OH MY GOODNESS IT WAS RANDOM DANCING WITH REALLY REALLY GOOD LEADS.  Why do I learn so little in class?  Because the boys have no idea what they're doing.  But but but !!!!!  Mix of Lindy (what I can kinda do) and blues (which I can't, but I can fake in a decent manner) and it was just so much fun.  And Allison was a good kid and asked random strangers to dance... which is a first, outside of Contra (instead of standing next to the wall in a Swakward huddle).  Just so strange and fascinating to see all the different styles going on.  And did I mention fun?

So.  'midterms' week, in a nutshell:  Paper due Thursday.  Look over questions for Goethe for Wed.  Possibly start Engin problem set for Friday?  Might actually get to watch a movie Thursday night :)
