Right, it's time for a real update! I have no idea what I've done in the last two weeks, all my days have blurred into essay stress and it's difficult to distinguish time! All I remember doing is visiting Chris Wednesday night to Thursday evening (which was yaysome) then being walked to the cinema to meet Laura. The Golden Compass is a straaange film. I only read the first 20 pages or so when I was about 12, so all I remembered was the poisoned drink. I think Laura was violently offended by the polar bear jaw ripping scene. :D
I do remember being promised mashed potato and chicken when we returned around 12, only to find her gas had run out! Grill-machined potato and chicken worked out surprisingly well. :D I had, however, forgotten that Miss Clark likes to TORTURE ME. I climbed in the bed and was immediately GRABBED and TICKLED to within an inch of my life! I had to roll off the bed shrieking to get away! When I trusted her to keep her hands off of me (oh Laura, you know you want me :D) we proceeded to sing along to disney songs in bed til about 4am. Good times.
I spent a grand total of 12 days at home, and they were a bit stressful. I had Ben sleeping on my floor, which wouldn't have been a problem if I didn't have essays trying to destroy my inner balance and soul. I did NOT appreciate being woken up at 5am by him leaving for work, and then having the audacity to spray his man deoderant in my room! Eurgh. I got to see little David a fair amount though, which cheered me up immensely. He is just brilliant, I love him. Miraculously enough, I saw my Dad twice as well. I'm always a tiny bit scared I'll see him and he'll start showing signs of illness, but he still seems fine whenever I see him.
I didn't get time to see half the people I wanted to this holiday either! I had a day out with Kim but I was ridiculously tired for the whole time so it wasn't as much fun as it should have been. I saw Dan but only in Tesco, and I saw Jess last Friday but only for an hour. :( I'm a bit gutted that I didn't get to see my Suzy actually. SUZY - visit meeee? :( I am hopefully visiting Jess in the merry land of Bristol in the next few weeks, that's something at least.
I keep forgetting how imminent Uni is. I have 7000/10,000 words to write for Wednesday, and I actually cannot see past that date. When I do eventually reach it though, I have 4 days to prepare. AGH. I'm meant to have read ALL of Paradise Lost and Book One of The Faerie Queen for the first lecture - what the deuce?! Thank god I only have 2 modules this term.
I will end with the gleeful news that I am seeing the Barrowman panto next Tuesday in Birmingham. ZOMG. I can't remember our seats but think they are second row or something - awesome. :D
Should I sleep or edit my appalling Daisy Miller essay? Hmmmm...
