I really can't justify taking the time to write this update, but I feel I must! Even though I have less than an hour to get dressed and ready/eat.

So. Play rehersals have been going really well. After most of them we've been going to the pub and stumbling home around 12am. :) I get on so well with everyone, they are my little group and I love them to pieces. But. Erm. Yeah. The reason this is friends-locked is because I have my LJ linked on Facebook, and I don't want anyone stumbling across this. I have a massive crush on a guy called Chris, who plays my boyfriend in one of the plays. It's seriously like...agh. Huge. And it only seems to be growing, and it's very, very distracting! He is such a puzzle of a person, I really want to work him out. Jenny thinks he likes me back, but I'm not really convinced. I've made him walk me home the last 2 nights, and it's been really fun, if rainy. The night before last I convinced him to come on a walk around campus, and we just chatted about random stuff and important stuff, I feel like I've learnt quite a lot about him. Last night it was fucking FREEZING, and as it was the first real performance I hadn't brought too many layers, so I spent the 20 minutes journey with my arms around his waist and arm for warmth at first, then because omg, he's the most comfortable person in the world. And hee. :D So yes, it's a bit weird having a crush on a "guy" (we were discussing what he is last night when he got indignant at the word boy) but I'm getting used to it. :)

SO, the play! I was feeling quite sick with nerves beforehand, but the first play is really quite a good one for easing me into performing on stage, as nearly every scene had Chris in it, and I'd either be hugging him or holding his hand. (I love Emma for giving him that role, I remember hoping he was playing my boyfriend from the moment I saw him :D) I didn't mess up any lines in that one, woot! In one scene, he dips me and we look into each others eyes, then someone makes a noise and we jump apart and run upstairs (or, in this case, behind a crappy curtain). No noise was made. We kind of stood there awkwardly til he said "Did you hear a noise from the garden?" and I went "I think so!" in quite a mock-actory voice. Oops. :D Also, at one (rather long) point, me and Chris are under a table together and OH.MY.GOD. Laura, if you thought my out-of-breath-talking was acting, it bloody wasn't! I nearly died under there, it was so hot! I was really impressed with Gemma in her stoner role, she did it so well! And Jen makes an awesome slutty old nana. :D

Second play (which is the 5th of the 5 plays) went SO WELL OMG. It felt just like rehersals, but about 50% better. We added a few little bits, and I came onto Gemma's character a little more strongly in the line "don't you just want someone to hold you and satisfy those needs?" by kneeling right next to her and touching her leg. Apparently that got a laugh, I didn't notice. We got a really loud laugh when the hamster is pulled across the stage by string. :D No-one laughed when Mubaloo said "Mubaloo is suspicious" and Simon's character replies "Yeah, gayspicious!" and oh, we were all saddened! That's one of my favourite lines! We all rocked in that play, and I am so proud of our little cast of 6 (plus Dai's Persian Empire.) At one point I move onto a different chair, but the chair they found was really high, I thought I might accidentally fall off it! But I didn't, and all was well.

When we were leaving the pub Dai said he was really impressed with me, as I'd been a bit quiet in rehersals but I really came into my role on stage. I was so happy at that. I didn't get any stage fright at all, and I projected my lines, go me. I am bragging slightly, but I'm so happy. :D

We have two more performances, tonight and tomorrow. Tonight's Family Farce one is problematic, as a main character can't make it and (I assume Simon) said he'd rather they pull the play for the night than have Emma fill in for the other guy. I can see both sides of the argument personally, as I spoke with him about it yesterday and it isn't just out of spite, he really can't see it working and doesn't want to look like an idiot. And he really is quite a stunningly good actor.

The after-show party on Friday is at Joey's, and I have no idea where he lives. I will probably beg Chris to walk me home again. :D Although we all plan to get quite drunk, so who knows if we'll even make it out of the house? :)

I am meant to be going to an Egyptian study session soon, I really need to get dressed and ready! God, look at the length of this. Finishing now! :)
