I can't walk on water.

So, last night I went to the launch party for the Robots' new "GIRL" video. Completely last minute, me and Sophie spent about an hour from 3am yesterday trying to work out directions, and we just about managed it. I was so excited, so I made a bit of a spazz of myself, and apparently was sick on a train. Oh the embarrassment of THAT. I can't remember from a certain point. I blame Dee, I was so excited to be in a room with her I went a bit crazy with the drink...plus it was a free bar, that's too much of an enticement.

But anyway. Soph came round about 2pm and we got dressed up. I'm still wearing my purple tights of joy. :D I wore a weird neck high, mid thigh length green dress of Sophies, green boots and my orange fishnet gloves. I still think it looked insanely cool, I need to dress up more. Soph straightened my hair, then backcombed it with hairspray, moussed it up then sprayed large amounts of it with purple. I didn't have any blue eyeshadow but green worked fine for the oblong rectangle over one eye, and silver surrounding the other. Soph dressed up in 80's gear, with black spray in her blonde hair. A whole paragraph on how we looked? Sad. :)

We got the train okay, but the tubes were nearly all fucked up. "Severe delays" were not what I had anticipated! We got there at around 7:20pm, after having to ask for directions twice, and met a girl called Caroline on the way in. Caroline is amazing, I really liked her. She hung out with us for the whole night, on a comfy sofa. :D We got in and I was like o.0 because it was a small bar, not quite what I had expected! And no-one else was really dressed up, but I didn't care about that aspect too much. A bit before 9pm Dee showed up, and OH MY GOD. I saw her at the Cargo IAMX gig, but last night she was absolutely gorgeous, as in takes-your-breath-away-a-bit beauty. She was energetic as always, and seemed to know everyone in the room.

The video played at 9pm, and GUH. They wore the pink costumes, and it's so...well, guh. :) Noels hair is a bit shorter and I didn't recognise Chris at first as he is wearing strange glasses in it, but they are VEREH attractive in it. I was a bit busy spazzing with glee to truly take it in, but I remember that the Robots tie Noel and Chris together with rope in chairs, some screaming, and Noel and Dee having a long, lingering look of love. :) I'm sure the Robots fans on my flist will love it.

Now I get a bit blurry around the edges, and can only just remember the most important event (to me) of the evening. Sophie grabbed Dee and told her that 2 of her biggest fans were over there (*points*) and if she'd mind meeting us, and Dee came over. I gave her a hug and (I think) told her how much I loved her. I HAD planned to ask her where Sue was, but I don't think I managed passed the IMMENSE JOY. She made me a tinfoil bracelet, which I managed to break, then she went off to find more tinfoil and made me a ring. Aww, bless her. :D If I ever meet her again, I will have to apologise for being drunk because I could have said anything...I don't think I did say anything potentially embarrassing though.

I still have my hair all crazy and my eyemakeup on. I don't want to take it off. :(

Have some photos! None of Dee I'm afraid, only us freaks. :)

Sophie subtley removed the lightning bolt mid-evening, traitorous wench.

Me and Caroline. I never did ask her if she has an LJ...

...

Let's have a slightly more attractive photo to redeem that, shall we?

Fitting three people into a photo is difficult. And my arms looks disturbing here, but yeah, group shot! I have more if anyone cares.
