1. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times: Every one I own? Er, ok, The Matrix
2. Name a movie that you've seen multiple times in the theater: LotR: RotK, the second two PotC films.
3. Name an actor who would make you more inclined to see a movie: Johnny Depp, Jack Davenport
4. Name an actor who would make you less likely to see a movie: Patrick Swayze... I can't stand him.
5. Name a movie that you can quote from: Pirates of the Caribbean, any LotR, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz...
6. Name a movie musical that you know all the lyrics to all the songs to: None really - musicals aren't really my thing, and the ones that are aren't movies.
7. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with: I hate my singing voice, so I doubt you'd find an answer to this question.
8. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see: Schindler's List. I finally managed to see it all the way through a couple of months ago, and the end made me cry. Liam Neeson is brilliant in it, as is Ralph Fiennes.
9. Name a movie that you own: lmao :D
10. Name an actor who launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops: Billie Piper - I was really surprised when BBC announced her casting in Doctor Who, but she turned out really good.
11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in? Do these even exist in Britain?
12. Ever made out in a movie? Really no.
13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven't gotten around to it:Well, it would have been Schindler's List, but I've seen that now. Perhaps Saving Private Ryan - I've never gotten around to watching the second half of that.
14. Ever walked out of a movie? Nope... I've never been to one that bad.
15. Name a movie that made you cry in the theater: I have a thing about crying in public, but Hero nearly made me cry at the end, and PotC: At World's End nearly had me in certain scenes. Oh, and the suicide charge in Return of the King.
16. Popcorn? No... malteasers.:D
17. How often do you go to the movies (as opposed to renting them or watching them at home)? It's hard to answer this - sometimes I'll go often in a short space of time, then others it'll be months before I do.
18. What's the last movie you saw in the theater? Shrek the Third
19. What's your favorite/preferred genre of movie? Historical drama, sci fic, fantasy
20. What's the first movie you remember seeing in the theater? Aladdin... or Free Willy. Which one came first?
21. What movie do you wish you had never seen? I couldn't even tell you the name of it - we were shown a Spanish language film in one of my 'Maya, Aztec, Inca, Spaniards' lecture. It didn't have subtitles, parts of it were in native mesoamerican language, and to top it off I hadn't slept well the night before and the lecturer turned the lights off. So, I was sitting in a film that I couldn't engage with AND I was tired. The only reason I didn't fall asleep was I can't sleep in public... though a lad near me did not have the same problem.:D
22. What is the weirdest movie you enjoyed? Weird in what way? Most would think the fact that I like Zulu or Master and Commander weird, or maybe Snatch. imo? eXistenZ.
23. What is the scariest movie you've seen? I don't really go in for scary films tbh. So, I dunno, Alien Resurrection? I bet that ranks pretty low.
24. What is the funniest movie you've seen? Shaun of the Dead, or maybe Dodgeball.
25. Movie you'd most like to acquire on DVD: The Scarlet Pimpernel (1934)
In other news, Doctor Who, The Sound of Drums was pretty cool. The psuedo Death Star torture robots were a bit weird, what with the kiddie voices. Jack's "you too?" line basically revealed all we need to know about how he feels about the Doctor... and as much as I don't usually go in for slash I kinda like that. Absolutly loved the Gallifrey scenes - I know Gallifrey was in old Who, but I wasn't around for that lol so it kinda feels more special for my generation to finally see the Time Lord's home planet and learn a bit of their history. Like I said, I already know a lot about Time Lords and such, having read around on it, but I'm from a generation that grew up without Doctor Who, though I heard plenty about it from my parents. And the Darleks were this legendary thing that I couldn't quite understand why it was supposed to be scary. I'm kinda sad I'll never have that - I guess that's why I like Blink so much... it's the closest I'll have to that experience.
John Simm as the Master = brilliant!!
