a. red

Lieutenant Torc of the Imperial Knights winced as the battle got louder. Great, they’re breaking through, he thought angrily. What is Solo doing?

“Saving you, Torc,” General Solo said, grinning evilly. Her red armor was smoking and charred in some places, but she was still alive.

“You betcha,” she laughed, and Torc blushed.

“Where’s the Emperor?” He asked quickly, and she rolled her eyes.

“Our great leader is with the troops, as usual. Idiot. I’m going back in a minute to protect him. I have an assignment for you, though.” And something strange flickered across her face. “Guard his wife.”

b. grey

The Enclave on Dantooine was not what I expected. There were no grand, imposing buildings, no graceful fountains or gothic libraries. There was only a hut in the grass, low and crude.

The Master of the Enclave was not what I expected either. Dressed in simple brown robes with shorn grey hair, she was a small, quiet figure hardly befitting of the title ‘Sword of the Jedi’.

“Why are you here, child?” Her voice was sharp and dry like old stones, and I flinched - but did not speak.

“You don’t know?” She ignited her violet blade. “Let’s find out.”

c. white

When I was a kid, I loved hanging out at Jaya’s. She had the best mechanic’s shop in town, with all the gizmos a boy could want, and she never minded if we kids hung out inside. One day, she invited us to her wedding.

It was in the old wooden church, and the groom was a real friendly guy named Herb. I think everyone agreed it was the happiest wedding ever. Everyone was there - she was that well liked.

I don’t see her much anymore, but I still remember that radiant young woman in white, happy as can be.

d. black

When I was seven, I saw the Dark Lady of the Sith. Not in person, of course - on the holofeed, during one of her rare public speeches. She was…magnetic. She wasn’t conventionally beautiful, but there was something about her big black eyes that just drew a person in, made them want to obey her…

I don’t remember the content of the speech, but I do remember being captivated by her every word, watching her pale, beseeching face and dark, entreating eyes. She looked delicate and fragile, even weak, and it was almost enough to forget that she was a killer.

e. blue

I noticed the gun first, then the girl. It was an antique, after all. I guess I stopped too long, ‘cause she noticed me too.

“You’re a Ryn.” She sounded sort of shocked, and that put my tail down.

“What’s it to you?”

“Nothing,” she said. “A Ryn was my father’s co-pilot during the war."

“Oh.”

“Yeah. Wanna be mine?”

I blinked at her. Then I grinned. “Why not? I never turn down adventure.”

“Let’s go then,” she said, and stood up, her DL-44 in a hip holster. “By the way - is there a reason you dyed your hair blue?”
