Rock Me Amadeus

Played Falco's "Rock Me Amadeus" with one of my recorder pupils today - she (9) on the recorder and I on the piano. It was absolutely hillarious, it it didn't even sound half bad (I would never have thought that it would sound any good on the recorder, but it does, somehow, and the pupils love it). But I haven't been able to get it out of my head ( Read more... )

I think every Mac user has forgotten the tabs in Safari. :) I know I have, so there are two of us at least.

Might want to try -- The GIMP. I found it worked just as good as Photoshop Elements, but Im using a graphics tablet (Graphire 3). It's not Photoshop, but it holds up ok.

Thanks for the tip! I will check it out :-D

At first I thought I was really going to miss the tabs (before I realised that I had them anyway), but then I started using the exposée feature, which I've really fallen in love with. I find myself trying to use it on Windows computers ...

What browser do you use? I just installed Firefox as well the other day, because that's what I used to use on my PC, but until now I've only used Safari.

I alternate between Safari and FireFox.For me the extensions in FireFox win the battle most of the time. On both my PC (Windows and Linux) and my iBook I have
Deepest Sender, Sage, and FoxyTunes. I'm still on OS 10.3.9 right now, and I'll probably upgrade later this month, so I've only got the iMac at work to play with for all the newer features :( .

I love Safari to bits - it's gorgeous-looking on the Mac, and easy and smooth to use. It has two big drawbacks, though: one is that it's really, really easy to close ALL your tabs/windows when you meant to close only one. I mean REALLY easy, especially if you have several windows open. The second problem is that the tabs only go so far along - then you have to close some to see others, vs. in Firefox they just scale down to fit. So sometimes I think I should use Firefox instead, especially since I met two of the developers and they're such good people, the Mozilla people.

But then I open it and remember how ugly it is on my Mac. I am so shallow.

hehe.. that's why I skinned mine to match... I'm using the Brushed Theme, which matches pretty well with everything else. :)

Hmm - trying out a different theme sounds like a good idea. I will end p using Firefox some of the time (for example at sendspace - I can't see the upload progress with safari).

LOL - I was just about to write that that had never happened to me, and then bang - I close all my tabs at once ;-)

But Safari does look great, doesn't it? And I do love it when things look good :-P
