(no subject)
Made it to Twin Falls, Idaho. Got like the last hotel room in the town. It's a smoking room (boo) but has free wireless (yay!). No idea if Lucy is allowed here. I'm guessing not and snuck her in a back door. We just tried to leave to go get a late dinner and I got five steps from the door and heard her crying her ultra-dramatic "I'm so sad" cry. So I had to stay behind to keep her quiet and they are bringing me back food.
I developed a migraine aura today on the road. Just all of a sudden I was having trouble with central vision. Finally noticed that it was some shimmery zig zag lines, classic of migraine prodrone. I've had aura before, but it was a flashing/blinking in the periphery, like there is a window fan turning and blocking sunlight just off to my side. This time it was just superior and left of my central vision.
Fortunately my sister had some migraine pills, the prescription ones that people take at the earliest sign. I think it helped. I do have a headache and feel kind of ick. But I don't feel like I'm going to die and should probably go to the hospital like with the last migraines I had.
My sister did drive my car the rest of the trip.
Ugh, long day. And tomorrow will be just like it. We are just almost exactly halfway.
