Oh, how I used to love and savor those things. I'd look forward to the beginning of every month when I knew it would be coming in the mail and I'd have one glorious afternoon pouring over every page with a glass of lemonade and a bag of plain Doritos -- that was the ritual. There has been no magazine since then that even compared. Sassy was great because it didn't treat teenage girls like they were vapid idiots.
I used to have every single issue piled up in my closet so I could go back and refer to them as needed. They had this one feature called "Make This" where you'd be instructed how to make a skirt of of old neck ties, or cut the neckline out of an old tshirt to make it... "sassier." I loved making that stuff.
I bet my mom long since threw them away though. Too bad. Some of them sell on ebay for amazingly high prices.
What an odd thing to dream about. Out of nowhere.
