It's been storming pretty bad here - a lot of rain, even for Oregon. I heard somewhere we might get up to four inches tomorrow. BUT, it's snowing in the mountains, and oh my gosh, I haven't craved snowboarding like this in years! I want to go so bad! (Wish lift tickets weren't so expensive though... maybe I could sell some CDs or something and raise a little cash.) Oh, who am I kidding, I won't have time until January anyway. But I can't wait!!
Last week I hydroplaned while on the freeway. Even worse, I was on the Fremont Bridge, so slidding off the edge would send me plunging hundreds of feet down into a river. Fortunately all I had to do is take my foot of the gas and hold the wheel tight and as soon as the car slowed down a bit, the wheels caught again and I pulled out of it fine. Scared the crap out of me though. I wasn't even going fast, and it was just wet road, not like I had hit a puddle or something. I drove so slow the rest of the way to school and walked into class late. I've been spooked about driving ever since. Driving to Portland today during the showers was really hard for me. I ended up exiting early and taking backroads so I could get off the freeway. :P
Is it awful that I LOVE the idea of 10,000 people rioting and chanting Bush is a "terrorist" and "fascist" down in Argentina? Ha!
