I've seen a couple short segments of Bill Clinton speaking about Rosa Parks the last couple days. How astounding was it to turn to the tv and want to hear more. To think this man was president and I want to hear what he says and I know that he believes what he's saying. At the end of a movie about Rosa Parks life that was on last night, a short segment of Clinton speaking in her honor brought tears to my eyes.
I've gotten so used to the stomach-turning disgust I feel when Bush speaks. I can't stand his constant halting speech patterns, and his smirky expression and just a general feeling that he's reading the speech for the first time, not that they are thoughts of his own. I just can't believe a single word that comes out of the man's mouth. I can't imagine actually getting teary-eyed over any his canned garbage. I *literally* turn the station now so I don't have to hear his voice.
My god, I miss having a decent president.
