I had a trip to the Sloppy Floyd building all planned out. Not that it takes a whole lot of planning to walk across the street, but the Plan was to take care of several errands in one trip. Efficiency, you know.
I opened a savings account at the credit union last month, but I don't have any deposit slips or anything. Today, I finally remembered to bring the bank statement I got so I could find my membership number and deposit my trivia check from Tuesday. Unfortunately, I forgot the check.
The private company that runs the cafeteria over there ("The Slop") planned a cookout thing in the courtyard out front as some sort of "thank you" thing for our putting up with all the construction going on, yet again, in the cafeteria. Cheap lunch. It was canceled due to rain.
I still need to get cash out of the ATM from my regular bank (which is still in business, for now); it's located in the Sloppy Floyd building. I have just five bucks in my pocket. But it's raining, so now I don't want to go over there since I can't do anything else over there.
There's some sort of breast cancer fund raiser (yay breast cancer!) lunch down the street that a couple of folks in the office planned on attending. But it's raining. And I only have five bucks.
It's raining.
As a bonus, I just went over to the post office on the third floor to get stamps to send Goucher a bunch of information cards from last night's college fair (at Marietta HS, who didn't provide dinner, mainly because I hadn't eaten dinner, which is why I spent six of my last 11 bucks at Wendy's last night), but it's closed. A little sign says he'll be back in "a while," whatever that means.
And, to add injury to insult, I think the mosquito bite on my index finger is actually a wart.
