Summer Shade Festival tomorrow.
It is about to pour down rain for the second day in a row. Let's see if it lasts longer than the 20-30 minutes it did yesterday. Hope not - the dog's freaking out. We need it, though - if only to give us a break from the constant 100 degree heat.
Tomorrow is the Summer Shade Festival next door in Grant Park. There's a 5K run at 8:00 am. No route is posted, but I'm willing to bet they'll run right past my building. They'd better be quiet - no way in hell I'm up that early on a Saturday.
Magnapop plays at 7:45. Now that I'm forewarned, I can run down and see them this time - or at least keep my window open so I can hear. Mostly, I'm looking forward to getting more of the awesome salsa I got last year.
