I feel bad for saying this, but the school band playing the atrium for the last 45 minutes is awful. They're now replaying their first set, which included a funereal "We Will Rock You." That's right, funereal.

Right now they're doing a song I recognize but can't quite place. It's either something from Les Miz or "My Humps." Can't really tell.

Christmas is the worst, when there are two a day (half-hour each, back to back) every day for two weeks. There aren't very many Christmas songs, and there are only so many ways to arrange "Jingle Bells." It's brutal.

Of course, I bet the reality isn't funny - just bad. So perhaps I'll rely on your reports for my amusement and not worry about missing out.

It's just bad. Throw in the fantabulous acoustics - they're playing in a large, marble atrium a floor and a half below me, with the sound traveling through a stucco, faux-wood wall paneled wall - and it's godawful.
