Trivia at Neighbor's went well last night.
Because it's the Highlands, I drove around in circles for about 15 minutes looking for a parking place, cussing and swearing I would never make the mistake of venturing into that part of town ever again, just as I always do when venturing into the Highlands. As I pulled in to the Neighbor's/Hand in Hand lot for the third time, two women came out of one of the bars and, eventually, drove out of two spaces right in front of Neighbor's. While sitting and waiting for them to shut up and go away, another car almost backed into me on its way out of a space. So - 15 minutes, nothing; then three spaces all at once. Sweet.
The scorekeeper never showed up, so that's mo' money fo' me. Probably could have used one at the beginning as there were two dozen teams, but once I got settled in by the third question, everything went very smoothly. The place was packed, everyone seemed to have a good time, and, for the first time in a long time, nobody bitched about the regular host's not being there.
I would like to note that "plum" is not a secondary color, while green is. I know plum is a shade of the secondary color purple, but that's exactly why plum isn't a secondary color! It's a shade of one, not one itself. Too much red in it. So shut up and get out of the way. Which, incidentally, they did.
