still sick, dammit
I really did try to get in to work today. Just not gonna happen.
I spent about 30 minutes in the shower just standing in the hot water, trying to loosen up my chest. No good. I swear I'm going to pull something with this incessant coughing.
The doctor said yesterday that it's a viral thing, and antibiotics aren't going to help. Just gonna have to let it work its way through my system. "I can give you something that will help you feel better," he said. "Or I can give you some amoxicillan and hope the placebo effect works."
So now I have some horse pills I can take. The one I took last night at 5:30 kept me up most of the night. I'll take another one now with a Pop Tart to make sure it goes down. And hot tea. Lots of hot tea.
