DQs rock!
Another (fantasy) baseball post.
The mighty Dying Quails are seriously kicking ass. Seriously. I won the first two weeks hands down and the DQs are solidly in first overall despite not having a decent third baseman (Chipper Jones is on the DL). Pitching is solid, and the outfield has more than held its own. I may be needing a closer if Izzy keeps sucking, and we'll see if Iguchi keeps scoring runs at second base; but if my guys stay healthy, I can practically stand pat all season with this roster. I drafted one helluva team.
I'm also in first in my auto-draft Yahoo! league, but I don't know how. I got stuck with both Garrett Anderson and Luis Castillo. I need a catcher and a better outfield; and I don't trust my closers on this team, either.
Embarrassingly enough, the Yahoo! league team I drafted live is only in fourth. I need a catcher here, too, plus Manny needs to get off his ass and hit.
I signed up for a keeper league on ESPN last week, but haven't been able to draft a team yet, either live or their autodraft. I'm not the only one unhappy about it, either: somebody started a league called "Waste of $49.95." Word.
