TELL ME ABOUT IT.

At least we get some Sopranos...

Mine is an HBO-free household. I've never actually seen an episode of The Sopranos.

I'll be keeping my VCR set for the same time slot, though - SciFi is showing the newish Dr Who. I've seen the pilot; it's pretty good.

Damon and I were just having the same conversation!

ARGH! The two mediocre Stargate shows come back in July. Why do we have to wait until October for the great show? Patently unfair.

I shudder to think how long we will wait when 'Lost' goes on hiatus.

I think Lost is on a typical schedule. But I could be totally wrong. At least it's not The Sopranos.

Eh, I'm used to it. Farscape tortured this way, too.

SPOILERS AHEAD

Nearly swallowed my tongue at "One year later." OMG. Loved Al the Cylon. "I'm not a Cylon. (sees self) Okay, you got me." That was awesome. Are we supposed to believe that Starbuck and Apollo's falling out was entirely due to her slamming his relationship with Dualla, or something afterward?

I'm such a 'shipper that I expected Adama and Roslin to be married. Disappointed!

Someone should have taken a shiv to Baltar long ago.

They did a great job of showing how much of a "blessing" New Caprica was. Jebus. It was like the encampment in Star Trek: First Contact, only real, and real awful!

Oh, and I loved how they forced us to root for Tigh/Tory to succeed at rigging the election, even after our own experiences a few years ago. The scene between Adama and Roslin, when she admits knowing ("and you caught me") was great. Still shrieked at the next scene with Adama and Baltar. Break that crazy little man, Bill!

The "one year later" thing totally freaked me out. It took them two seasons to go nine months, and then two seconds to go one year? WTF?

Who knows what's going on in Starbuck's head? I can't believe she grew out her hair. Lee is an emotional cripple; between the two of them, they can fly off the handle at a sneeze.

And if the Cylon montage at the end is to be believed, that ugly shirt guy looking for Starbuck is a Cylon, too. We still have four unidentified Cylons out there (not including Ugly Shirt Guy).

The photos of New Caprica made it look so pretty. The refugee camp is a nice blast of reality.

Question: What happened to the Cylons in the Galactica brig? I guess Roslin airlocked one of the priests, but what about the other one and Sharon? Helo was on the Galactica bridge, right, so is Sharon still there ( ... )

We've already seen the guy who was looking for Starbuck. He's played by Callum Keith Rennie, who is one of those ubiquitous Vancouver actors (Highlander, X-Files, and a metric assload of other stuff). And I thought from the miniseries that he definitely is a Cylon (and he's in the "some look like us" part in the opening credits), so he's/they're just being reintroduced.

That's right. I remember him now. Was he the guy Adama fought in the miniseries or is he the one Baltar falsely (yet accurately) accused of being a Cylon so they left him to rot on that space station (uh, also in the miniseries come to think)?

In that case, we've met nine varieties of Cylon; 6 men, 3 women.

At the election, I checked the clock and turned to The Boyfriend with "We still have about 40 minutes."

My reaction at the end? "But.....but.....waaaaaiiiiiiitttt!

I missed just as many episodes as I've watched (10pm Friday night is hard): I'm hoping to do some catch-up between now and October.

I do the same thing with the watching the clock and figuring out how fast they're going to end an episode. But this one threw me completely off.

I have a VCR, so I tape every episode. That late Friday slot is tough to stick around for; I'm either in bed or out.

I think SciFi is rerunning the season, but the time slot is even worse. Something like 2am.
