I actually called in "sick" today so I could finish reading. M was up all Saturday night reading it - he came to bed at 5:15 am with this smug look on his face. I was busy most of the day yesterday so I started reading it about 7pm, read until 2am, and went to bed just as things were getting interesting. I knew if I waited any longer they would get too interesting and I'd have to keep going. So I woke up at 7am and read until 11 when I finished. I hadn't been spoiled at all, and I was paranoid that if I left the house without finishing the book I'd be spoiled. Like, I don't know, I thought there might be someone on the street shouting spoilers. Maybe I should have closed the window. Anyway, I hope you're having a good time over there.

Lovely seeing you and being there, but obviously not the occasion for extended hanging-out. At the time, you were discussing possibly coming to the UK for a social trip, with this summer mentioned as a feasible date; any further progress on that? As ever, you have somewhere to stay half-way between London and Scotland, should you need it. :-)
