. . . what I meant to say, slightly more coherently, is that I love how this started out beautifully fucked-up and has now shifted into an entirely different but equally beautiful form of fucked-up-ness.

It's not that difficult to slip into BSG fucked-uppedness. The canon of the show pretty much demands it, and lord, but it's fun doing that to characters.

This makes me hurt for Leoben a little. (Not that you've made him sympathetic.) Listening to Benton gave him this... idea of earthbound humans that just isn't true. Afterall Benton sees the world as it should be not necessarily as it is.
As for Frase himself I'm still worried for him. Afterall he doesn't know Adama, at all...
