Cool, I like that you set us up for more with this. I got to respect Steel's loyalty to 'Them' because if I were in his place, I would say "Screw those assholes." and bring down the Transient Beings from the inside only for the sake of the people I'm suppose to protect. (I'd get my friends to help me in my independent plan.) I can see Steel killing Silver in order to end his agony in a gentle painless manner. ( I have a metal image of him quietly cradling Silver and comforting him in his own characteristic manner as he kills him. I think I may have inspired a plot bunny. ;))

What's your opinion of the Transient Beings? I'm not sure myself, but I suspect they may be rouge elements who gained power and evolved into something else. I also think that their motivations may be more Lovecraftian in nature. These are just speculations, so feel free to disagree with them.

Thank you. I'm so glad you enjoyed this (and it was from Steel's POV, which you said you wanted *g*).

That is a very good image of Steel taking Silver's life; that is how he'd do it.

Like you, I see the TBs as 'rogue elements who evolved into something else'; on the other side. I see them as 'evil' whereas Steel, et al are for 'good'. I see the TBs as not caring about humanity, whereas the others do. And I see them as being very dangerous and a threat to human life and the life of the elements and 'Them'.

Oh, my! how I could have missed this one?
So, so powerful! So much restriction and yet, Steel emotions are quite evident here.
This is really painful, and very, very dark. I can see now how Steel could actually be able to kill Silver, just to protect him.
Running now to read the rest of this!

Ah. It might have been posted when you were away?

Thank you very much. I'm glad you can feel Steel's emotions in this.

*Nods* Indeed; I'm really glad you can see that and that you find it powerful and painful.

Thank you so much.
