Things I Have Accomplished Today:
- Woken up relatively early this morning by the %&!$% fire alarm. Silently grumbled and swore. Went back to bed.
- Woke up again at 1:30 in the afternoon, and luxuriated in having gotten MORE THAN THREE HOURS OF SLEEP! FUCK YEAH!
- Started Heidegger. Who is full of awesomely snarky linguistic nerd win and generally rocks my socks off. The only downside is that it makes me feel slightly guilty that I'm reading a translation. (UHO! Opening seminar question GET!)
- Was reminded, during said reading, why I don't like whipped cream on iced drinks.
- Found
this site - a compilation of the writings of various religious scholars. MOST OF WHOM I WILL PROBABLY NEVER END UP READING, but it was worth finding for easy access to Fear and Trembling.
- Replayed the fourth case of the first Phoenix Wright game, and rediscovered the utter hilarity of the parrot thing. Mainly because von Karma's expression of "...wait, WHAT" is the funniest thing ever.
- Considered writing an angry rant about
the Open Source I Want To Cop Several Dozen Feels While Patting Myself On The Back About What A Good Feminist I Am Project, then realized that anything I might say about the matter has already been said far more eloquently than I ever could. Thus:
Dear
theferrett,
YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG.
- Wrote some more of the Eleanor Essay That Wouldn't Die. Because I apparently celebrate freedom from essay-writing by... writing more essays.
And now to watch some more of the BBC Robin Hood series (of which it is surprisingly difficult to find a version that hasn't been dubbed in Spanish. WTF, internet) and then go to bed at a slightly less ungodly hour than I have been. Life? Is gooooood.
