Today on the subway, I got stuck next to a man who told me about how homosexuality is caused by the Devil's children taking over the souls of certain members of the population. Apparently, Satan has two children, a son and a daughter, who possess certain people and cause them to be attracted to members of the same gender

The psychotic Christian woman I used to work with (until she was fired for stealing and showing up hours late every day... how christ-like!) used to say that too, among other random bizarre things of a similar nature. You have to wonder just WHERE these crazy ideas come from!

O-kay. . . . I have never heard that one before. But then, most of the people I hang out with are reformed evangelicals, so we tend not to talk about things that way.

Um.

I would say that I doubt any church would actually teach that about homosexuality, but honestly? There are a lot of pretty wacky churches out there. In any case, there's definitely nothing in the Bible that even remotely suggests that. Unless they're reading a very different Bible than I am.
