I'm not as into the HP books as I used to be, but I'm still excited about it. First, because bwee, new canon. Second, because it's the series finale and some things I've been wondering about will be answered. Hopefully.
And finally, because the fandom will have new things to bitch about. The fanatical shippers whose ships weren't made canon, the "Snape is [insert good/evil alignment contrary to the one revealed in Book 7]!" people, the fanatics of other stripes... Their pet issue will never turn out the way they wanted it to. Ever. We're talking massive, ridiculously overwrought meltdowns here. We're talking Potterdammerung.
