Catching up on chores around the house
Finally finished copyediting the current project from Dark Quest and sent it off Friday, although I still need to invoice it [brief pause while I add that to my list of things to do].
Once that was sent off, I've been trying to play catch up on everything that fell by the wayside while I was copyediting every moment I could. The table is covered in paper that needs to be sorted and "coped with."
So I've sorted, filed, paid a few bills and in between had a few intense bouts of hand sewing and beading for the Halloween costume I need for next weekend's cat show. Fortunately, the end is in sight.
Of course, Mike's been gone since 0'dark-thirty Friday morning--judging a cat show in Albuquerque and won't be back until late tonight. So I'm also caring for all of the kitties--20-plus of ours and 15 visiting from a friend who had an unexpected hospital stay. They're expected to head back home sometime in the next week or so, but in the meantime they are occupying 2 bathrooms, 2 cages and the entire basement.
Anyway, it's time to go back to work . . . .
