Yeah, color me behind the times. Did y'all know that it now costs $1.58 to rent a movie and keep it for a week? Not new titles, obviously, but had I known that I'd have been renting movies a lot more often. You know, rather than never. Or I suppose I could go ahead and bite the bullet and get Netflix but I hate having a monthly commitment to something other than rent or my cell bill.
Anyway, I enjoyed the movie. Luckily I'd been able to avoid spoilers so I didn't know the ending (I'm not stupid so I did guess the what but I didn't guess the how). Yeah, I don't know how I did that. Usually I pick things up through internet osmosis. I also don't know the ending of The Prestige which I still need to see so don't tell me. But tonight I had to choose between those two and I'd read that the first was the better movie so despite the appeal of Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale in one movie I went with Ed Norton.
Speaking of, both me and L commented on the sexiness of Ed Norton. She turned to me and said "You know, he is a sexy man" and I said "I was just thinking that same thing." Then I mentioned that he really shouldn't be. I mean, he's not classically handsome like The Clooney and he's not even made of sex like Christian Bale (seriously, watch pretty much any movie's in and try not to think about wanting to see him naked. It's impossible with the possible exception of Little Women because he's Laurie. Pretty much the only movie in which Gabriel Byrne would be picked over Christian Bale. Not that I don't love Gabriel Byrne but if I have to pick I'm going with Batman, ya know) or Clive Owen, but in this movie? I just kept thinking about how hot he was. Especially that one scene. Yeah.
