Haven't updated in a while, but a lot has been going on.
Firstly, I quit my job at Michael's. Long story short, I didn't agree with what they said at my 60 day review, and I didn't see the point of keeping my schedule open if I was getting less than ten hours a week. That, and it made me physically ill thinking about going in to work each time. I'm still taking a little break before looking for work again, as my nerves have been shot.
David found work at a local hardware store and things seem to be going well for him there. He's learning a lot and he gets pretty good hours. He told me to take my time looking for a job. Sometimes I feel like he's way too nice for me.
Our house got hit real bad by the storms. We had two feet of water in our basement. I remember waking up the morning after the storm and looking out the window. The entire right side of our acre yard was a raging river. Unfortunately, the creek by our house came up through the basement and damaged a few things, like our dehumidifier and furnace. It's a good thing we keep all of our belongings down there on shelves and in plastic bins. Thankfully, our insurance is going to cover some of the damages. I'm currently waiting to see how much we get from the insurance to know what all we can fix.
I think I will work on the vegetable garden tomorrow...
