[The video feed had barely ended before he was up and out the door, tracking the other device with his own. It was pointless to try anything else as the captain was very much unconscious by the end of it. Even so, from his location it was several minutes before he arrived where Jim lay on the ground- it was really not a very good idea to have come out this far by himself.

He dropped to his knees next to the man, gently laying a hand on his shoulder. As he couldn't possibly tell the extent of his injuries, instead of shaking him and risking making something worse, he ever so gently extended himself and gave his mind a gentle touch- just enough to rouse him.

No point in risking another breakdown, after all.]

[ Jim furrowed his brow, but didn't open his eyes, instead letting out a small sound of pain. His head was killing him and his entire left leg felt like it was getting stabbed over and over again. He could feel his foot twisted at an odd angle and clenched his hands into fists to try to distract himself.

His breathing was somewhat uneven and, even without opening his eyes, he was incredibly dizzy and a little nauseous. His jaw clenched and he cursed whatever woke him, still not having all his wits about him. ]

[The pain he'd felt when he'd woken him was maybe a fraction of what he actually had to be feeling, but he could still practically taste the waves of it coming off the man, even as he continued, his voice soft.]

Captain, we cannot stay here.

[ He opened his eyes a crack and then winced. That had not been a good idea. ]

[ gaila swore in the informal mess that was low orion as she jumped up from where she'd been sitting after viewing the feed from the tone to pull on her uniform and boots. snatching the tone back up, she also grabbed her phaser off a nearby table, bolting out the door and running off in the direction her tone told her his was. thankfully, thanks to her orion physiology and elevated stamina, she didn't have to stop to take a breather and was able run non-stop all the way there.

she dropped to her knees when she reached him, letting go of both the phaser and the tone (but, of course, being mindful of where the weapon was in case she had to grab hold of it again), and reaching out press two fingers to his neck. she wasn't an expert on human physiology, but she'd paid close enough attention in the required basic first aid courses to know how to check to see if he was still alive -- and thankfully, he was. ]

[ The jostling wakes him up, unfortunately for him. He grimaces at the pain from the broken ankle and bumped head and doesn't dare open his eyes. He's already dizzy from the move from the rock to Gaila's lap. ]

Nnn. 'M 'wake.

[ Jim would much rather not be, though. That's one hell of a headache. ]

[ gaila sighs in relief, then fixes him with a glare he may or may not be able to see. ]

You promised you wouldn't do anything stupid. I should know better with your promises...

[ and now back to the ankle. ]

It looked like you broke it from the feed I saw, but I'm not a doctor.

[ If he could, Jim would be glaring at Gaila for that remark. He didn't do anything stupid when he promised he wouldn't. These were two totally different occurrences.

As it was, he shifted a little to hold himself up and then let out a small noise. ]

That... w'sn't a good idea.

[Oh shit. Al looks very worried. He hopes someone sees this and goes to help him since he has no idea how to track him down and doesn't know his way around the city yet. This man was kind to him when he arrived, though, so he's very concerned.]

[ He finally responds a while later after Spock has dragged his sorry ass back to the apartment and woken him up because. YAY. CONCUSSION. ]

No, there's nothing you two can do. Unless either of you can cook. Spock's going to be the one cooking until I'm back on my feet which means I'd have to eat vegetarian for a week.
