(no subject)
Acquired a copy of Torchwood from misterfallen (and smoked outside the little red line on Canada Square! I'm such a rebel, me). Explained to him why the coffee I bought along with lunch came in a little paper shot glass: espresso is the caffeinated equivalent of rocket fuel! (And it was a double, no less.)
Called the tech support and got an update on my precious baby lapop: it was the circuit board, the hard drive is probably fine, and it ought to be back with me by Monday if not earlier. Considering that my external HD is not playing nice with eric_the_girl's laptop, this comes as a considerable relief.
Managed to get my library rights suspended due to overdue short loan books. I should probably be a lot more bothered than I actually am (probably because I'm still a bit hacked off at the Courtauld as a whole); my reaction was, "Oh, well! Time for an Amazon order. And there's always Senate House." I've already started planning what I may need...
Apologised to Tom one more time. I don't think he's completely forgiven me, but at least he heard me out this time. I hope things can be okay again because this cold war is extremely distressing for me, but at least I've done my part and made my sincere regret as clear as I could.
Possibly need to investigate a cheaper and less limited wireless option because I'm really failing to conserve my minutes. lydiasings, what's this T-mobile thing you were talking about, keeping in mind that I'm restricted to wireless access only?
Oh, and masterofwalri and tsuki_chama, the 2008 Chinese New Year is apparently on February 10th :)
