Ugh.

Dear gods. There's only one hall with ensuite rooms, and it's being refurbished; the waiting list opens the 12th of September. I'm not sharing a bathroom again, they look unhygienic, and I swear the tiling is chosen to not display stains. No, no, and no again; I'm not willing to spend an entire year shaving my legs standing up and showering in flip-flops.

On the other hand, my father forwarded me this:

Musician-friendly, spacious 2 bedroom flat with large living room available for rent from the summer for the next year. 3 minutes walk from Waterloo Station and 30 seconds walk from Lambeth North (bakerloo) with buses to RAM and GSMD from outside the door. The flat has been inhabited by three musicians for the last 2 years and the neighbours have not complained about practising! If you are going to study in London next year this is an extremely convenient and suprisingly affordable flat!

Looks like I'll be emailing the nice musicians tomorrow and ask 'em if they're willing to consider tolerating undergrad smokers with nocturnal tendencies.

My life has just gotten substantially more complicated as I'm looking for an amicable house-sharing arrangement with strangers, and I'm a smoker to boot. My own messiness is unlikely to be a problem, because when living in an entire house it's never spilled outside my room. Our kitchen is spotless and I'm good at doing dishes, heh. But odds are I'm going to need to start looking into this now, so that I can meet potential housemates when I next fly up at the end of May....

rl, uni
