My Message to Sarah Zap. (RE: Band Elections)
I'm very sorry that you feel this way Sarah but shit happens to the best of us. When Mr. Brunner made the ultimate decision to override your vote count and make Jinho ADM, it was due to multiple reasons that I actually agreed upon.
The first being just the physical. In order to lead a band, you have to have a demanding presence. Jinho is taller and has bigger bulk. Almost always, the drum majors in band are on the taller side.
Its a matter of being able to see you conduct or not.
Another thing that went into discussion is if you'd be able to capture and hold the attention of all the band members. They get loud, they can get rude, and often times they can't quite frankly be insulting and mean.
I've seen you get mad and annoyed before. You sometimes get flustered, and you lose your cool. And you also don't yell, you brood. And you stress, your constantly stressed.
Especially with the number of IB/AP classes next year, I think its going to work out for you now that you didn't get the ADM position.
Just think that it wasn't your time. You always have Band President to run for next year. Follow up my tradition and Susans tradition.
Also as great as Brian "jerk"in is, don't listen to all he has to say about band. If he truly cared, he would have done something about it. All he does is moan and bitch about how awful band has become, and he hasn't done shit.
You know people like that don't get anywhere in life. You bitch, moan, but you do nothing. People like that don't care about band, those are the sore losers of life.
I think you're going to have a wonderful year, and don't let this bring you down too much.
